Everything we do in class needs to have an emotional connection to reality, and you can develop the courage to use it when needed. And, importantly, the self defense techniques we practice must work under pressure, with emotions involved.
We trust our classmates enough to push our limits and work hard to improve fast.
What do you imagine are the most important self defense techniques? Really, awareness and confidence are a huge head start, and our martial arts classes start the process long before self defense training is ever needed.
The “best fight” is no-fight, and needs no obvious self defense techniques at all, and our students have shared those stories, too. But, on a few occasions, we’ve heard back that the self defense techniques they learned with us were put to use, and saved the day for them and their families. That’s the best contribution we could ever offer to their lives. |
